Prevalence and Associated Factors of Cesarean Section in Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University Hospital

Background The Cesarean Section (CS) is a major obstetric life-saving procedure used to avoid pregnancy and childbirth complications. sections are becoming more popular across the world, as well in Nepal.
 Objective To assess prevalence of cesarean section its associated factors among women Dhulikhel, Method A cross-sectional study was conducted where 1246 pregnant age 15-45 years, admitted delivered hospital, were selected through purposive sampling technique interviewed using structured questionnaires Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University Kavre, Result 39.7% most common indication previous with scar tenderness, 27.9%. Half participants, i.e. 50.6%, primigravida. Majority women, 97.5% had done their antenatal checkup them 74.8% Hospital. Most them, i.e.76.2% emergency 69.5% primary section. Women group 30-45 years (AOR=2.23) higher secondary education level (AOR=2.03) two times likely perform involved service (AOR=1.37) business (AOR=1.23) greater odds performing than homemakers. giving birth infants weighing 3.51- 5.00 kg (AOR=1.33).
